El Departamento para el Desarrollo Internacional del Reino Unido, (Department For International Development, DFID), es un organismo que nació con el propósito de erradicar la pobreza extrema a nivel internacional, fomentando el desarrollo de la creación de empleos y ayudando a salvar vidas en los escenarios de emergencias humanitarias.
Es un organismo serio, orientado para ayudar a la gente más necesitada, pero, aunque usted no lo crea, Carlos Fernando Chamorro Barrios, le pidió un generoso financiamiento, de más de 660 mil dólares trimestrales, para esos “famosos” proyectos de medios y gobernabilidad que éste señor utiliza para sacarle dinero a casi todos los organismos donantes del mundo.
